Effective: October 31, 2026. Last updated: October 31, 2026.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Demo Day DIY (the “Site”) collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The Site is operated by Jame Michaeel. Contact us about privacy through the Contact page form or by email at hello@demodaydiy.com. Please also read the Terms of Use and the Disclaimer. By using the Site, you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Contact form. If you use the Contact form, we receive the name, email address, and message you enter, so we can reply to you.
Automatically collected information. When you visit the Site, server logs and cookies may collect your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages visited, time of visit, referring pages, and approximate city or region.
The Site has no user accounts, sells no products, and collects no payment information. An email list is collected only through the subscribe form described in section 5, and no analytics service is currently installed. See sections 5 and 6 below. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; see section 9.
2. How we use information
- To operate, secure, and fix the Site.
- To understand, in aggregate, how the Site is used, if analytics is added in the future.
- To reply to messages sent through the Contact form.
- To send email only to people who subscribe through the email list in section 5; no emails are sent during the probe.
- For advertising only if advertising is switched on in the future; advertising is not currently running.
- To comply with the law and enforce the Terms of Use.
We do not sell personal information. Contact form details are not used for ad targeting.
3. Cookies
The Site uses essential and security cookies, preference cookies where used, and, in the future, analytics and advertising cookies only if those services are switched on. See the Cookie Policy for the categories, purposes, and controls.
4. Advertising
Advertising is not currently running on the Site, and no advertising vendor is named here because none is in use. If advertising is added later, this section will be updated the same day it goes live, naming the vendor and how it uses cookies. Google and other third-party vendors may then use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this Site or other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings and www.aboutads.info. For visitors in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, consent for personalised advertising will be collected through a Google-certified consent management platform before any advertising cookies are set. You can learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
5. Email list
The Site offers an email subscribe form in the sidebar. If you enter your email address, it is added to the “Demo Day DIY” email list, which is managed by Sender (Sender.net), our email-list provider. Only your email address is collected through the form. The list is collected only, and no emails are sent during the probe. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by contacting us through the Contact page form or by email at hello@demodaydiy.com. Your email address is not shared with advertisers and is not sold.
6. Analytics
Google Analytics is not currently installed on the Site. If analytics is added later, this section will be updated before it is switched on, naming the service and how to opt out.
7. Who we share information with
We share information only with the service providers needed to run the Site:
- Hostinger, which hosts the Site.
- WPForms, the contact-form plugin used to send Contact form messages to us by email. Entries are not stored in WPForms Lite; messages are delivered by email notification.
- Sender, the email-list provider that hosts the “Demo Day DIY” email list and the subscribe form described in section 5. Sender receives only the email address you enter in the form; it is not shared with advertisers.
Advertising vendors may be added in the future only if advertising goes live, as described in section 4. We may also share information if required by law, or if the Site is transferred to a new operator, in which case this policy will be updated. Contact form contents are not shared with any third party except as needed to operate the form and reply to you.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to know what is collected, to ask for a copy or correction, to ask for deletion, and to object to or limit certain uses. These rights include those under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), the General Data Protection Regulation in the EEA and the UK GDPR, and the privacy laws of other US states.
For processing under the GDPR and UK GDPR, the lawful bases are consent where you give it (for example, for non-essential cookies), legitimate interests in operating and securing the Site, and legal obligation where the law requires it.
To make a request, use the Contact page form. California residents should include the words “Privacy request” in the message. We will respond as the law requires.
9. Children’s privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent personal information through the Contact form, please tell us through the Contact page so it can be deleted.
10. Retention and security
Contact form messages are kept only as long as needed to reply and act on them. Email addresses on the email list in section 5 are kept until you unsubscribe. No analytics data is currently collected. The Site uses HTTPS. Personal information is processed in the United States.
11. Links to other sites
The Site links to other websites, including manufacturer and code sources. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices.
12. Changes to this policy
This policy may change. The effective date above will be updated when it does. If analytics or advertising is added, this policy will be updated before the new service is switched on.
13. Contact
Questions about this policy, or requests about your personal information, can be sent through the Contact page form or by email at hello@demodaydiy.com. Please include the word “Privacy” in your message.
